Welcome to Teach All Nations Mission

Teach All Nations Mission (TAN) is a global evangelical educational ministry birthed from the teaching ministries of Delron and Peggy Shirley.  The name Teach All Nations Mission was chosen to carefully indicate exactly what the heart of Delron and Peggy’s mission is.

TAN’s commitment is to establish a solid foundation in the national pastors and leaders so that they can help enrich the people. The vision is Christian teaching materials (in English and the local languages) in printed form and on audio and video, providing scholarships to Christian colleges and Bible schools for promising students, assisting in establishing and building of Bible schools, and broadcasting via the internet, radio, and television.

Daily Ditties

I grew up with the Carolina colloquialism of a ditty being any short, pithy saying or writing. There is one for each day of your life. As you read them, I hope they are interesting and inspiring.

TAN Mission Report April 2025-  Dominican Republic 2025

We have been ministering in the Dominican Republic on a regular basis for more than twenty years, working with our long-time friends, Tim and Trena Johnson.  Over the years, we have brought numerous mission teams to minister in schools, churches, and open-air outreaches.  In addition, both of us have ministered in a majority of the local churches and held many pastors’ conferences for leaders from throughout the nation.  On our recent visit, we were thrilled to be reminded of the remaining fruit of previous missions as numerous individuals shared how our ministry over the years had blessed their lives and ministries.  Many recited specific points from sermons and lessons we had taught years ago, and others mentioned how the books we had published in Spanish have impacted them.

This mission was a “two-for-one” as we had originally planned the trip to hold a pastors’ conference but were later asked by a pastor whom we are mentoring as he is planting a new church to help him organize his congregation’s first mission trip.  Since the Johnsons have a well-equipped mission compound, we suggested that the mission team consider coming with us to the Dominican Republic.  The pastor readily agreed, reminding me that he had been to the Dominican Republic and stayed at the compound on a mission trip when he was in Bible college.

Meditation April 2025 – Chapter Nine – Offensive Movement

General Douglas McArthur said, “It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win.”  Our stance in this spiritual conflict is that we intend – no, we expect – to win.  We are aggressively pursuing the gates of hell, knowing that they will not be able to withstand our offensive attack against them. (Matthew 16:18)  We aggressively defy the enemy, knowing that he – and never us – will have to back down and even run away. (James 4:7)

Paul’s fifth area of attention when discussing this offensive stance we are to take is that we be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. (verse 5:18)

We must never give ourselves over to other influences such as alcohol, drugs, hypnotism, or cultish religion that dull our own control.  We must always stay in the place of control of our own will, understanding, and movement.  If we are walking circumspectly and fulfilling the will of God, we must have an understanding, aggressive movement.  In the place of other influences, we must be filled with (or under the full control and direction of) the Holy Spirit.

The sixth area of focus is praise and worship

TAN Mission to Bahamas

2012 It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it—so we volunteered to preach in the Bahamas. It all began several years ago when our family was vacationing in Freeport on Grand Bahama Island over Easter break. On the Saturday evening before Easter, Delron was in the...
