For the past several years, kidnappings of foreigners, cartel violence, and COVID had put a stop to our ministry with our dear friends Bobby and Lynn Crow who pastor in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico; however, this year, we were able to return for four days of intensive ministry in their church and Bible college – and what a time it was. The ministry began on Saturday with a ladies’ breakfast in which Peggy ministered on “My Help Comes from the Lord,” a topic that many of the women testified ministered directly to their situations. That afternoon, Delron taught a three-hour version of his course on Maximum Impact at the Bible college. Speaking of impact, one of the workers at the Bible college shared a photo that her daughter who is serving as a missionary in a North African Muslim-majority country sent to her of Delron teaching when she was a student at Charis Bible College twelve years ago. The lady said that Delron and Peggy were her favorite teachers during the three years of study there. For both of these events, Teach All Nations provided a supply of textbooks in Spanish. Unfortunately, the airline lost the suitcase containing the books, and it was not retrieved until the end of the trip. However, the college students will receive their free copies at their upcoming graduation, and the ladies will be presented with their books at the next women’s gathering.
On Sunday, Delron preached a message about what God saw when He looked into the heart of David, based on the two stories found in I Samuel chapters sixteen and seventeen – one about how God told Samuel that He looked for inner qualities rather than external appearance and the other about David’s confrontation with Goliath. The theme of the message was that David’s inner qualities were revealed in the way he stood up to the giant – an encouragement to the congregation on how to face their own personal “giants.” Concluding with the message that the most important thing that we can have in our hearts is Jesus, Delron extended an invitation for those who were not sure if they had ever invited Him in. Before long, about a dozen new believers found their way to the altar and to the foot of the cross. Afterward, we prayed for many who needed healing or other special ministry. Tuesday evening was another service which followed an almost identical pattern with about a dozen salvations and numerous healings.
Monday and Tuesday were filled with videotaping courses for the Crow’s international ministry which is focused on the Philippines but reaches much farther into the English-speaking nations of the world – and possibly even further with the potential. of using artificial intelligence to translate the lessons into other languages. Peggy taught on how to break strongholds over your life while Delron taught on having an effectual prayer life.
In the short four-day mission, we saw eternal impact in the lives of those who came to salvation, tangible impact in the bodies of those who were healed, potential impact through the Bible college graduates as they apply the teachings in their ministries, and global impact through the circulation of the video teachings around the world.
